Coffee is a very acidic drink, which can cause problems for some people. Drinks high in acid can lead to upset stomach and heartburn. Many people are forced to give up coffee all together. With the invention of low acid coffee, though, these people can now enjoy coffee once again without any worry about side effects.

Too much acid in a beverage can lead to an array of problems. Acid is very erosive which means it can wear away anything that it comes in contact with. For most people the idea of not drinking coffee anymore is more painful than the side effects of the acid. Most people simply just can not get through the day without some hot coffee in their cup. So, this obviously is not the best solution to the problem.

Hevla offers a range of flavors all with low acid content. The only issue is that you may have to search to find the brand or buy online in order to get the special low acid line.

The last option for low acid coffee is to use a cold brewing system. When the coffee is cold brewed most of the acid stays in the grounds. You can use any type of coffee, so you can still use your favorite brand to do this. You will need a special cold brewing machine, though, in order to get the taste you desire and to get the coffee brewed quickly.

The main issue is that taste may be distorted since there is no hot water involved and you have to actually reheat the coffee once brewed to get it hot.In general, you should be able to find a great low acid coffee solution. It may take some time to find a method that works for you, but you do not have to give up coffee forever and that is good news.
